Citizens Fire Academy: Mooresville Fire & Rescue is conducting the Citizens Fire Academy to teach adults about the many jobs the department does on a daily basis and promote citizen interaction with the firefighters. The 10-week program begins April 9 and will be held 6-9 p.m. Mondays. Free and open to anyone 18 or older who lives or works in Mooresville or Iredell County. Beautification project: Motorists traveling north on N.C. 115 into town should notice an improved appearance along the railroad tracks. The 28 zelcova trees along both sides of N.C. 115, the gateway corridor into Mooresville's historic downtown, were recently installed by the town's Public Works Department.
